When did my Love affair start with Avon? I really could not give you an exact time or day. What I do remember is growing up and having many Avon products. I remember the Avon lady would come over once a month with her new catalog. I was just a kid, but I could not wait to see the new catalog. Even though Avon had a little kid section on the brochure, I wanted to see all the fabulous lip colors. I was much more interested in looking at the make up.
My grandmother always had the roll on deodorants. If you looked in her cabinet you would see all kinds of Avon products. I find comfort in seeing these products. It is a comfort of my childhood and being with my grandmother. This was not just a regular deodorant, but it was the kind mixed in with perfume scents. I used to love it when my grandmother would hand me one for keeps. It was something that I always looked forward to. Now when I see the Avon deodorants, they come in my favorite perfume scents.
Imari, that was the name of my favorite Avon perfume. I started ordering it when I was only a teenager. I could have bought Chanel, but no, I wanted my Imari. Back in the day is was a little under twenty dollars. It still has an amazing price! I would wear my Avon perfume to work, to parties to any place that I would go. I wore this perfume like it was worth a million bucks. That is the thing about Avon, it might not be Gucci, or some high name brand, but it has a million dollar smell, The kind I Love to wear when I want to feel gorgeous and amazing.
Yep. I would wear my perfumed deodorant, and my Imari perfume. There was no shame in my game. I Loved basking in all that Avon Beauty. I always looked forward to buying the lipstick, the eyeliner, the eyeshadow. I would just go shopping in the comfort of my grandmother's living room. I would circle what I wanted in the catalog, and my grandmother would put my order in.
Now when I look at the Avon catalog, I think of how much they have to offer. Not only do they have a variety of shadows and colors, but now they offer more than just make up. I am so amazed at the products that are offered. Avon makes their own products like insect repellent. (which works great by the way) Avon has essentials like face masks, gloves, and even anti-bacterial hand gels. Even more nice, Avon makes a blouse and pull over with a built in mask. They have a baseball cap with a removable shield. Avon has partnered with other companies to offset the competition.
They even have Chi products. Avon partnered with Chi. The amazing name of Chi alone carries a lot of weight. This name brand is a hot commodity, and Avon has collaborated with them so that they could sell their products. You can go online or tell your rep that you want to order Chi. You don't have to go to the mall, or to the beauty salon. All you have to do is order from Avon and it gets delivered to your doorstep. They carry everything from Chi shampoo, conditioner, and hairspray. They have the blow dryer and the irons. Yep, you can order these amazing items that Avon has in stock.
After all these years, I still Love Avon. The fire hasn't died, and I still love to order my products. This year, however, I decided to go forward as a sales representative. Why? I never get behind products that do not work. I decided this year that I wanted to start blogging, and that Beauty was my niche. Because of that, I decided to sign up to become an Independent Representative. Going forward with my love affair, I choose Avon as the one I need to have. This love affair that I have had ever since I was a child, is now a full blown marriage. I not only buy what Avon has to offer, but now I belong to this company, and I get to sale these amazing products.
