The Beauty Secrets that I found in the Pandemic

I wanted to take the time to Thank everyone that has been reading my blogs these past few months. This year changed my whole outlook of life. I stopped feeling sorry for myself and I started taking advantage of every opportunity that I could get in the economic crisis. Many people were forced to stay home and many were laid off. People were losing their jobs and many businesses were fighting for survival. In all of the darkness, we were finding ways to style our hair without the salon, do our own nails, and we watched countless hours of how-to videos. How-to videos taught us how to do simple haircuts at home and how to do different hairstyles at home. They showed us how to give our self a proper manicure. Most importantly, we learned better ways to apply our make up and the kinds of colors that would work for our skin color. People were also finding ways to make extra income to keep their heads above water. What did I notice? I personally invested into MONAT, Avon, Shopify, Go Daddy, and Artificial Intelligence. I took advantage of the free education that a lot of big companies were offering. I learned more about Marketing, Cybersecurity, and of course, Beauty! Here are a few things in beauty that I got into or learned about during the pandemic.

MAKE UP:

I joined Avon because of the fact that I grew up on this name brand product. When I found out that Avon was having a great deal on joining I had to get in on this offer. Avon was offering zero down on joining as a representative. I thought this was an excellent time for me to join and to get out of poverty. As a matter of fact, at the time I wrote this article, they are still having this opportunity for anybody seeking to make more money. Avon also shares many how-to videos on beauty. They are partnered with Chi so they sell some of the best hair dryers and irons available on the market. They obviously have their make-up selection. You can watch any how-to video for the products that you buy. They have the online catalogs now, so you will be safe. Products are delivered straight to your door. They also have Skin So Soft for dry or sensitive skin. This keeps your body moisturized and feeling nice during the pandemic or having to stay home. They carry essential household products like gloves, face masks, anti-bacterial hand gels, and much more. They sell clothes and even have a blouse or pullover sweater with a built-in mask. This is amazing for anyone that continuously forgets their mask at home, or loses them frequently. Not only that, but it is safer and easier washing. I could not resist the opportunity to join the Avon team!

HAIR CARE:

This year I learned about MONAT. I am also biased to this name brand because I carry it also. Now, I will admit, this company was not cheap and I did pay a little bit of money to become a Market Representative. If you are asking why someone with limited income like myself joined, I would have to say it was because I truly believed in the product and what the company had to offer. I did not look for negative or positive reviews, but only because I really wanted to try it for myself with an open mind. What really caught my interest in the beginning was the part about it being an all natural based product. I saw that it was vegan, gluten-free, and cruelty-free. I saw that it carried no parabens or other toxic ingredients. I truly would not have known about these harmful ingredients but when I first started using the product my hair was itching. When I asked, I found out that this happens when we start using a toxic-free products. All the harmful toxins that we get from other hair products are being washed away slowly, but surely. It did go away after a few uses, which for me was after a week. My hair not only stopped thinning, but I had a bald spot from childhood that went away completely. My hair was healthier and shinier, and I loved it. I started as a VIP which was only $19,99 to become. As a VIP I practically got my products for free with each referral. After my amazing outcome, I decided to invest as a Market Partner. MONAT also carries an anti-aging skin care line which also was amazing. The anti-aging skin care gave me a beautiful glow. I was definitely impressed!

EYELASHES:

There are a few new things about the eyelashes that I learned about this year. If you wanted to have natural eyelashes than lash serum is the way to go. Both Avon and MONAT carry the lash serum. I started using the MONAT serum first. My before and after was mind blowing. I had only tried it for a week and I could already see the difference in the way my eyelashes were growing. The difference between the products is price and ingredients. Both are cruelty-free. All MONAT ingredients are natural based which makes the price a bit more. Not to count out the Avon serum because it also is toxin-free and vegan. The reason Avon is cheaper is because the product has been out longer. Because of Avon's sales and because it has been out a longer amount of time, it actually has a price cut which is passed on to the customers. If you wear false eyelashes, many women have started selling them, using their own name brand. They did this by a new thing called drop shipping. With drop shipping all you have to do is invest in the product, but you do not have to worry about the inventory or shipping costs. Finally, just in the last few months did I learn about magnetic eyelash strips. I do not know much about them, but in my own mind I am thinking what a genius idea. A friend of mine works as an affiliate for Magnetude. So not only did I learn about this new thing, but this company offers a way for others to make extra income. Magnetic eyelashes are applied by using either magnetic strips or using a magnetic liner. The lashes just don't pop on them self so you still would have to know how to apply them. Probably why I still have not tried them yet. The difference between the magnetic strips or the lash glue is simple that one carries less toxins. Lash glues can be very toxic as they contain ethyl cyanoacrylate and parabens, which can cause skin irritations. With both magnetic and glue, You still have to be careful with applying, taking off, and storage to prevent bacterial eye infections. Probably another reason I have not tried. Still most people that use false eyelashes want that beautiful, WOW effect for their eyes, and magnetic eyelash strips would be a better way to go.

JEWELRY:

By now you have heard of that fabulous $5 jewelry. Yes, I am talking about Papparazi. I remember just a few years ago, I tried to sell it, but because I did not know much about Digital Marketing and how to better sell the stuff, it did not go well. However, I still believe in this company. I mean, come on, you get to buy all kinds of goodies for only $5 each piece. That is simply a deal, you cannot refuse. Not at that amazing price. You can buy one piece at a time, or you can buy $10-20 at a time. Whatever your choice, you can rack up your jewelry collection with some very beautiful, colorful pieces. I remember having jewelry in all types of colors when I was a sales representative. I had not seen paparazzi for years, but after the pandemic, I saw many of my friends selling it. A lot, who had lost their jobs and trying to make extra income. I would say it was a very wise choice because selling Papparazi, if you make the marketing time, is a win. I have been thinking of doing it again, but for now I am still trying to build my customers with the other products. I definitely would recommend to my friends for buying these pretty pieces of jewelry. Of course other than Paparazzi, I have to also mention that Avon also carries a variety of jewelry pieces. Some pieces as low as $2.99. Avon gets to lower prices on the more expensive pieces so if you wait long enough, you can find some excellent jewelry sets at amazing prices.

NAILS:

Before I name this next company, I would like to give my daughter's business a shoutout. Her business was doing so well before the pandemic and now she is busy trying to find other ways to make income. She owns ATX Beauty, aka Nails 512 in Austin, Texas. She has a huge following on social media so I am obviously very proud of her. Her work is simply amazing and I am not just saying that. She does some very beautiful artwork on her nails. Now, let me start talking about the alternative to the salons. Number one, we all probably jumped on You Tube to see if we could find other ways to take care of our nails. There were many of us that ordered ready made kits on Amazon or other shopping sites. The company that I discovered was Colorstreet. This company to me was genius. I mean, I was very impressed and surprised that this company had not been discovered before. This company makes nail polish strips. You just easily take the strip, pull it off and put it on your nail. They make all different types of styles and designs. They last ten days and can be removed with any nail polish remover. In just a few minutes, you can have this amazing manicured look. Let me just close with this, these nails are 100% nail polish, they are not just stickers. That means, you are guaranteed to have quality nail polish on your nails. I mean that is Genius!

So yes, during the Pandemic, I learned a few new things. I invested in some of these things, and I started my beauty company with all these new things. I started writing and while I love to write, I came up with the idea of my new blogsite. So while it has been a terrible year of loss for me, I also was able to open my eyes to wide arrange of things. We all learned to live our lives in a whole new way. When the pandemic first started, most of us didn't even have masks to wear. Now we can all be a bit more prepared if it ever happens again. For those who did not understand why handwashing and sanitizing was important, well, now they know. In all this we learned what new looks are better for us, and some of us are able to save money because we can do our own haircuts, hairstyles, and nails. It is amazing all the tips and tricks that we have learned and applied to our everyday life. Yes, this past year was kind of a downer, but for all of us who did survive, we now have a new way of life and doing things our own way. It was not a total loss as we were able to grow as human beings!
