Growing Up Beauty

Hi gals and girls! This is my very first Blog on Beauty. I've done Blogs on other things, but this time, I feel Passionate about what I am writing. I have always been intrigued and fascinated by Beautiful Men and Women. The earliest memory I have was when I was only 5 years old. My mom had just started dating my stepdad and he lived in a bad spot. I remember on one block there were prostitutes and the next block was a rated x theatres.

While my mom was in Love spending time with her soon to be husband, I was outside roaming the apartment complex, by myself. I have Blogs about my childhood, just in case you are interested, but for now, I will focus on Beauty. I remember being non-judgmental about these beautiful women who were hanging outside the complex. For me, I just saw hair, make-up, and fashion. They were so glamourous to my eyes. I would walk up to them and say, "Hey, You are pretty!" I wasn't scared and to me they were just looking their best

I also remember when we had our Family Reunions. In my family we had a Banquet, so it was very formal. This is how I know I Love Beauty. I would be so mesmerized by all the beautiful dresses, the hair, the makeup, and the variety of colors. I had these cousins that were crazy beautiful. I would follow them around and wish I was their age. I wanted to have that nice hairstyle and painted face. I would watch them blow dry the hair and use the rollers. It was amazing!

Then there was the Holidays. My family had these Holiday parties after church. The family would get all dolled up. I remember going to the stores and finding something pretty and formal. There was this one time that I refused to buy regular dress shoes. I wanted high heels. I was probably 8 years old, and I wanted to wear the grown up shoes. For me, Beauty was something I wanted for my own self. Of course, my grandmother said no, but I got them anyway. I was playing with them and walking like I was on the run way. I believe everyone finds relaxation and comfort when they are able to look in the mirror and see the transformation happening.

So, How did I find the true Beauty? Well, for one, Beauty is found with in. To be truly Beautiful, it has to come from the heart. Love Yourself, and others will Love you. You can have the most flawless skin and make-up, but have the ugliest heart. This is a crash course for disaster. Practice Love, Faith, Hope, and Forgiveness. These qualities are sure to bring you true beauty.

To answer the question of finding my beauty: I went to the mall. One day my grandma took me to the mall and one of the make-up counter ladies asked if I wanted a make-over. I'm guessing my grandma didn't approve of my make-up because she quickly said, "Yes!" Next thing you know, I am getting tutorials on my skin, how to put on my make-up, and what colors work best. It was Amazing! I was 12 years old and finally getting that Beautiful make over I had always hoped for. My grandmother must have spent about $300 that day, and I was the happiest pre-teen ever! I wish I would have gotten a hair tutorial because I was still not the greatest when it came to fixing my hair. I even had my best friend fix my hair when we were about 15 years old.

No matter what the age, Being Beautiful is something we all look to achieve. Waking up to look in the mirror and be happy with the person that you have become. I lost my tooth at 13 years old and I remember crying when the dentist pulled it out, It felt like my world was over. Of course, my grandma took care of it and got me a replacement, but later on in life, I just didn't care about my smile. I cared more about my kids and making them beautiful. I passed the beauty bug onto my daughter, and she is now learning the nail tech industry. My other daughter looks like she could be a Kardashian. My boys like to dress nice and look their best also.

I decided to invest as a Market Partner for MONAT because I was amazed by the growth of my hair in just a short amount of time. MONAT means Modern nature. The products are naturally based. MONAT has hair care products, skin care, and wellness. My hair was thinning out and I actually had a scar that would not grow hair. When I used MONAT, I was amazed at how much my hair grew and it was shiny and thick. I immediately knew I needed to get behind this product and sell it. MONAT is vegan, gluten-free and cruelty-free. They even have pet products.

I grew up with the name AVON. My grandma had everything Avon. I'm talking jewelry, make-up, deodorants, and much more! I never thought I would become a Rep for Avon, but here I am. I am caught up in the glam. I get to be a part of making others beautiful. Its amazing, and I am so excited to start this blog. I will write about the products, the customer experience, and so much more. Stay Tuned, and I promise to give you the very best in Feeling Beautiful for yourself!
